Explore a greenhouse simulating the climate of the Madagascar desert, featuring the plants native to the region, including the Madagascar Ocotillo, at Cleveland Botanical Garden. Stroll through the greenhouse stimulating a Costa Rican rainforest, filled with waterfalls and thousands of butterflies. There are 20 gardens featured, with hidden paths between them and a shaded boardwalk. The children's garden features a tree house, frog-filled pond, fountains to run through, and a garden with plants kids can water. You'll want to visit the Guren Art Gallery every time you come, as it features regularly changing works by local and national artists, all of which are inspired by the botanical and natural worlds. The Botanical Gardens is one of the most magical places in Cleveland. If you are not a fan of the winter weather I highly recommend checking out the glass house. It's like being in a beautiful paradise in the middle of winter. The work that they put into maintaining the beauty of this place and the knowledge of the staff on all of the plants animals and insects is amazing. You can tell that the people that work here enjoy what they do. In the warmer months there are outside gardens to enjoy as well. Don't forget Holden arboretum is a partner and also a fantastic place to check out. Membership is not expensive and well worth it. This includes both the Arboretum and the Botanical Gardens. Truly two of my favorite places in Ohio.

A gem of the Cleveland Museum Circle family of attractions. Always clean, always bustling. The outdoor garden is marvelous year round. The oft missed library is very well taken care of and has a great selection of books on botany and preservation. Seasonal attractions are great for families with kids. Must visit while in Cleveland.
