I’ve been coming to this area since the mid 80’s. I had no idea this waterfall was just outside of Cloudcroft. It’s about 8 miles out of Cloudcroft where you will turn in to Rio Penasco Rd. This road.... more

Bluff Springs is a magical place to campout. It is isolated and very relaxing. Highly recommend it. Be prepared to be cold at night if you camp near the water.

Loved this place. The road is not paved for at least 4-5 miles. Narrow road. Running creek Steep hiking. Trails are clear. Bring a light jacket..gets cool in the afternoons... Possibly colder at night. Be prepared for the change of weather. Great area for the whole family. Clean restrooms. Do not litter. Some trash along the trail.(empty water bottles) please clean up after yourselves.
