  • Such a fun day! We went as a day trip from Denver and having grown up going to the Bronx Zoo wasn’t sure how it would compare. We weren’t let down! The animal assortment was fantastic and you could te...  more »
  • Went to the zoo to walk off the Broadmoor buffet... really enjoyed it. Make sure to spend the extra $2 to ride up to the top, and then walk your way down. You can then ride back up and see the other s...  more »

  • We've been to a number of zoos, and some that claim you can get "close" to the animals. To me, this zoo is, by far, one of the best designed, and you really can get close to the animals. I love all the activities for kids - a carousel, chickens to feed, a play house for the goats, and feeding the budgies, to name a few. There are lots of opportunities to feed the animals or watch their trainings. It's also so cool that the wallabies just walk about freely, and you can pet them if they come close. There are also many outlook points at the zoo, which makes it neat for adults or out-of-town visitors, if you care to see the landscape more than the animals. The Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun is accessed through the zoo, which is also a interesting attraction and great overlook. If you are looking for something to entertain the kids and the adults, I recommend coming here!
  • Wonderful zoo, but superior staff. The giraffe exhibit is incredible and they frequently have lots of baby animals to see! Aside from the zoo itself being great, the staff here is one of a kind. They are all knowledgeable and friendly with every age group. To top it all off, they did great with emergency preparedness for an extreme weather situation. Made everyone safe while doing their best to keep the day fun. Would highly recommend this zoo!
  • The experience at this zoo is amazing. Knowing that your money goes to helping the environment and a better future, I would do it again. Yes it sucks to have wild animals caged, but this zoo has really gone its way to try to keep the animals in it’s natural environment. And they are rescued and simply can’t go back to the wild. Staff is also amazing, knowing there stuff and treating the animals with lots of care. the park is kept well clean. I would travel back again
  • We love this zoo! It is on a mountain which is unique and cool in itself. The zoo is very interactive: you can pet wallabies, feed giraffe, feed parakeets while they land on you, etc. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable- they will give presentations and/or be present to answer any questions you may have regarding the animals. We also stayed overnight with a cub scout outing. That was so much fun! We awoke to hearing the Lions roaring. So awesome! I highly recommend this zoo.
  • This zoo is not for the faint-hearted. It has epic views, to go with, epic elevation, topped off with epic hills. The buzz word for this place is mountain because you'll be on one. Plenty of animal attractions and the majority are interactive. Great place for the whole family young (bring a stroller), bold (bring some heart), and the old (shuttles available). Side note: There a bunch of Chipmunks running around loose, so bring snacks and get some cute pictures. We used honey buns...
