The Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) is an art museum in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Formed in 1878 as the Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts (its name until 1978), it was the first art museum to register its charter with the state of Ohio. The museum collects and exhibits American and European modern and contemporary art, folk art, glass art, and photography. The museum has been led by Executive Director Nannette Maciejunes since 2003.

  • We went first to see the Pizzuti Collection of the CMA. This was interesting but very small (two exhibits). The main museum has much more to offer and is quite nice. Free on Sunday is hard to...  more »

  • The Columbus Art Museum is a fantastic use of time. Not only is admission free on Sunday but there is an amazing cafe inside with a beautiful garden patio to eat at. The food is put together by culinary students and it is amazing! You can't go wrong by visiting here.
  • Great facility with a slew of artistic endeavors in a well organized yet semi chaotic manner. This exhibition has an artillery of mesmerizing pieces of all aspects and mediums. This is a place where aesthetics are to be enjoyed and appreciated and they put their best foot forward to make that very apparent.
