Cadron Settlement Park, Conway

I didn't know that so much history was this close to home. Beautiful! The actual owner of the buildings donated we met. She invited us into her beautiful historic plantation! That was quite the surprise! She has so much history in her. I told her this information needs to be in a book. She has experienced so much in her life. The donation of the buildings and property that an actual civil war battle occurred is amazing. They set it up in a town form. These are all the buildings that would be found on a plantation and town, not that long ago. Very interesting!

Beautiful place with a good view of the Arkansas river with some biking trails and very moderate hiking trails. Nothing too big orcomplicated. There are rocks you lay out on and paint and it's a good place to bring your friends. I would advice the painting rocks for kids unless you keep a really close eye on them because it's really easy to fall off of the rocks if you're not balanced well enough.
