Owner and operator, Kayce James, has spent the last 7 years of her life on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. She has been a horseback guide, worked as an interpreter at the SeaLife Center, booked water taxis for a glacier lodge, and worked at two schools, yet she always found herself on the Kenai River in her free time. Kenai Riverdog was born from her love for the river, and it is her attempt to instill that love for the beauty of the river into every customer that comes on her trips. She also dabbles in photography, and is open to small photography jobs for tourists and locals that want to capture the moment. With our custom trip planner, Cooper Landing attractions like Kenai Riverdog can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

What a great and relaxing experience. I’ve floated this river many times with a fly rod in my hand and never just took in the beauty of the Kenai River; surrounding mountains and thick dense forest..... more »
How much fun can you have on a rainy weekday? Turns out, LOTS. At the last minute, decided to go on a Kenai River float trip with Kayce, the owner, and another random family. While I was a solo, Kayce and the family were super fun and welcoming. We were all just looking to have a good time. It rained the entire trip. But it didn't matter. We put on rain gear (Kayce had more than enough to help cover gaps), jumped on the raft, and were on our way. It was relaxing and beautiful, even in the rain. Kayce made sure everyone was comfortable and warm throughout the trip. We saw bald eagles, and more bald eagles, so many bald eagles, it really was amazing. The kids on the trip were counting, and I think they missed some, because there were just too many to keep track of. What a tough problem to have, right? Kayce is a fun and knowledgeable guide, who clearly loves what she does. The trip was professional and safe, and lots of fun. When on the Kenai Peninsula, a float down the river is well worth your time. While there are many raft companies, there is only one Riverdog!
