  • Get out and look around! Yes I said loins but really I mean PANTHERS! Yes bears too, Bobcats, Gators and many more species for you to hopefully get a glimpse at! Can’t guarantee you’ll see all of what...  more »
  • This was beautiful, but bring a four wheel drive vehicle. There is a sign that says the road is rough, and it’s not lying. There were a lot of holes, and I was afraid we’d get stuck if it started rain...  more »

  • This national park can be quite an adventure if you are willing to leave your car at a gate and go for a hike along the many paths. You will experience interesting animal noises and see plenty of animals such as birds, fish, snakes, and insects. If lucky you can spot larger animals and alligators as well. As it is a swamp make sure you are dressed accordingly with plenty of repellent and drinking water. Enjoy nature at its best but do not expect any visitor luxury. Currently (July 2019) the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk is closed for renovations which will take awhile.
  • The park is great. There are plenty of places to park and to explore. There was a drink machine and Rangers around. The bathrooms are clean and well serviced. Several large lakes and some small ponds. All with fish. Then off course there are the canals which have fish and alligators, but so many fish. Don't forget to get gas before you head down that way. Well worth the trip though, beautiful and relaxing.
