We did the a Day with Thomas train excursion it was okay expected a little bit more. The views of the lake was nice and the staff were friendly

My husband and I had a wonderfully fun day on the Wisconsin car, premium seating! The service was great! We had very good snacks and a nice sandwich, pasta salad, chips and a cookie for lunch. Just be aware, lunch is served at 10:30 a.m. if I had known that, ahead of time, I would not have eaten breakfast at the hotel. The stops were very interesting. In Plains, there are some nice gift shops and an antique store for the shoppers on the train. Not to be missed is the peanut ice cream in Plains. Oh, my, your taste buds will thank you for purchasing a cone or scoop of that delicious treat!! I highly recommend taking an excursion on the S.A.M. Shortline train!!
