  • While searching for things to do in Corolla, I came upon the Currituck Banks Reserve. It is located about 3 miles from the Irish Tides in Corolla Beach House. Head to the end of NC Highway 12 to...  more »
  • Nice short wooden pathway to a lookout. Well maintained path and beautiful scenery. Not many people on the path. Also a longer hiking trail that branches off and is not wooden. It would probably be a nice hike, although we didn’t do it. It was surprisingly not bug infested, although it was a little swampy in areas. We did not see wildlife, although it looks like it’s fenced off and horse sightings may be possible.
  • The reserve was beautiful, but we didn't get to see the wild horses. There seems to be no way to see them without buying a "tour" from local companies and apparently you have to book at least a few days before hand. In the historic town of Corolla we couldn't locate any plaques summarising the town's history (so we looked it up online).
