  • This was a great experience. Was able to walk up to the top of lighthouse. The gift shop was nice. The area around lighthouse was nice and relaxing.

  • A beautiful brick lighthouse that you can tour! They charge $12 to climb to the top. A 220 step spiral staircase with landings every 20 or so steps (handy for climbing breaks) takes you to the top & back. The views from the top are breathtaking! As was the wind the day we visited. 💨 Don't miss the souvenir shop or nearby boat museum (free).
  • The lighthouse is definitely worth a visit especially if you are staying in town. It is a relatively quick walk or bike ride to the park that the light house is in. It is a bit of a climb to get to the top, but it shouldn't present too much of a difficulty to anyone. There are landings on the way up should you feel the need to rest, and the lower landings have great information about the lighthouse and the system of lighthouses in general. Make sure to check out the gift shop while there.
