We are a group of Costa Mesans that want to protect Fairview Park as we know it, an open space passive use nature park, and to help it become one of the best nature parks in Orange County. Fairview Park is the last bit of nature we have in an otherwise built out city. Just like the best nature parks the world over, the value of this area comes from it not being developed.Add Fairview Park to your Costa Mesa travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Costa Mesa day trip app .
Thanks to citizens organizing and mobilizing in 2016 to successfully vote for a preservationist city council majority and enact legislation known as Measure AA to save Fairview Park from development, the focus now includes restoration of habitat which has been degraded and neglected for far too long while under review for development.
If you want to get involved in protecting, restoring, or maintaining Fairview Park as a nature park, then go ahead and like our facebook page for updates and ways to get involved.
This facebook page reflects the opinions and views of people who want to protect Fairview Park from development as well as helping it become a more sustainable nature park and the best acre for acre nature park experience in Orange County that allows humans and wildlife to coexist and thrive.

Love this park! Great biking and walking trails. A lot of wildlife. If you are a RC guy, there is a RC plane and car area. There is a little picnic area, and you can access the Santa Ana River bed trail.
AN ICONIC PARK IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. I spent a large amount of time during high school training with friends, riding my bike, running around and still do sometimes. At the top of the park there is plenty of grass, parking and walking areas. For those of you who enjoy feeling your calves burn there is plenty of hills to run up and down on. At the bottom of the park there is a section with a bunch of trees, grass, shade and wonderful breeze from the ocean. It's my favorite place to take a break. I like the renovations the city made years back where they added the pond with trails that run through it. The bridge over Placentia is very helpful and a nice touch to connect both sides of the park where you can walk around on the other side. Theres a place designated for people that like to fly their remote control airplanes. The view at the top is awesome to look at at take pictures as you look over Huntington Beach, the Santa Ana river bed, and clear out into the ocean. I hope they keep this park the way it is and leave it untouched by developers looking to make more apartments.
