  • Gorgeous oceans views. Be sure to walk out in front of the fort and down to the beach. Just amazing. The fort it’s self is a fascinating look at a period in history. Obsolete almost as soon as it was....  more »
  • What a great little campground for those who are looking for a waterfront camping experience. The sites are decent size but have no privacy between them in case your wanting that. Restrooms were kept....  more »

  • I'm relatively new to Washington, having moved here less than 2 years ago. Although I'm aware of camping grounds in the area, I have not been to any others before this. We did not camp but came to visit friends who work with my husband for the evening, and found it to be very enjoyable. The campsites were full, families with there - many with children - everybody seemed to be having a great time. The bathroom facilities were close and in good condition. All of the campsites were near the water, although we did have to walk a short distance in order to actually see the water. Since this campground is located right near where the ferry docks, I found it to be somewhat surreal to see a very large ferry gliding in right there so near to the shore. The shoreline had a mixture of sand and lovely smooth large rocks. That was mixed with a large amount of driftwood, and of course some seaweed. All in all a very enjoyable evening. A Discover Pass was required. Although we had one, we forgot to bring it. We were able to buy a one-day use Discover Pass for $10.
  • Such a hollowed ground.... stuff was brought here and now turned into a state park!!! If you ever get the chance to visit this place I highly recommend it!!! Lots of signs explaining different things and the time line of when it was brought over!!! Great scenery and ground to walk pets.
