  • My daughter (12) and I went alone, after the rest of party backed out. It was SO WORTH IT and I would do it again. We stayed in Cabin #2 (pet-friendly), which is a 2 bedroom + loft, full bathroom...

  • Beautiful well-maintained location. Nice large lots under huge pine trees. Wake up to birds chirping, and can sit outside to watch the boats go by. Assigned pet friendly campsites. Nice new clean showers. Store currently (early May) open only two days per week, but ice and firewood available during closed times through honor system. Bikes available to rent for $5/hr or $15/day, when store open. Neat observation tower to climb, along with a nice nature center.
  • I cannot say enough good things about this place. Lots of stuff to do, and a GREAT experience. We stayed in a mini cabin, it included a table and chairs and had air condition, and the chairs on the porch were perfect to see the view of the water. You can crab, walk on the docks, go to the little park, canoe and kayak, and there’s a museum open for children. A beautiful place for photos. I recommend Coleman’s 100% max bug spray. We used it and we got no bugs on us. The bathrooms are very clean, and it’s a nice quiet place. Staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. We asked a lady about the lost-and-found and she had no hesitation to go look for our item for us. My sister also left her necklace in the cabin and they were super nice to find it for her and ship it back to our home address. I brought my bike and my little sister brought her scooter and she had a blast. We liked to go to Chincoteague to the shops and took the cruise to Tangier Island (highly recommend!) Overall this was a WONDERFUL place to stay and we’ve gone there 3 years and never had any complaints.
