The fairgrounds offer many events through out the year. The fair is the longest running event. It is a good time but small kids need to be watched. The races are a good time and well worth the price of admission $15-$20 depending on the schedule. The Cumberland Firefighter Bash “Local 1715” was a great event but due to the greediness of the Allegany County Commissioners and declining volunteers to help it has ended unfortunately. Del Fest has been a huge success and I hope it continues. The fair grounds could be utilized so much better if the County was not so money hungry. However the grounds are kept in terrific shape and well maintained by the Fairground Employees. Mr. Kammauf does an amazing job and should be recognized as such. His knowledge and craftsmanship is unmatched.
