We loved the wines because of their unique flavor. I'm a dry wine girl, and their wine was fruity without the sugar. It's amazing how you can make wine taste that good! They also had a specially dry dessert wine that we ended up purchasing because you cannot find that anywhere else! We will definitely stop by next time we are in the area :)

I stumbled across this magnificent winery by chance while biking through on the C&O/GAP bike trails. Chuck, the owner, is incredibly hospitable and a thoughtful host. The atmosphere is absolutely delightful, and a wonderful place to spend a peaceful afternoon. If you’re in Cumberland, be sure to stop by Charis—you’ll soon find it a favorite destination!
