Information for visiting Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site

Reservations are required for guided tours of the site on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10 AM & 2 PM.

Self-guided tours are offered on "Saturdays Without Reservations." Pick-ups by our shuttle at 205 Railroad Ave. are at 10:15 AM, 12:15, & 2:15 PM.

Due to the location of this park, all visitors are required to take a free National Park Service shuttle from the town of Danville to tour the historic home and grounds. Visitors are not permitted to drive their personal/private vehicles to the site.

The shuttle meets at 205 Railroad Avenue in downtown Danville, at the County Connection bus stop, just outside the Museum of the San Ramon Valley. Parking is available next to the museum.

  • A month long (usually in late Aug to Sept) to celebrate Mr. O’Neil’s award winning play rights! Go on a hike to his former mansion and def get tickets for a play in his old barn!
  • Hidden gem. Low key and great place to bring out of town visitors. Make sure to reserve the shuttle and tour. Free! Don't forget to get a junior ranger badge for the kids.
