  • What a great place! I am not someone who creates or enhances ‘doll’ houses- and I learned a lot and was entertained as well. Who ever thought that doll house displays could promote social justice?! There is information and displays related to the Underground Railroad..,. There is a magnificent display focused on Kentucky coal mining—— and another displays garment workers upstairs- all women, of course, at the same time men are displaying the garments to other men in the drawing room. I also appreciated that the ‘dolls’ were of varied colors- this is not just white history. I highly recommend this stop if you’re with at least 30 miles on your travels.
  • Took a friend here as she had wanted to see it for a long time. A must-see for artists, crafters and just plain daydreamers. Tour is self-guided and you can leisurely take in all the period detail and craftsmanship in each display. Many eras represented w historical context included in some. Very cool place!
