The Honey Bee Haven is a unique outdoor museum where visitors can observe and learn about bees, other insects, and the plants that support them. The half-acre garden was planted in the fall of 2009 and is open year-around from dawn to dusk. Admission and parking are free. Guided tours, which take 45 to 60 minutes, are scheduled from mid-March to September for a $5 per person fee with a minimum of 5 people. Tours must be reserved in advance. The purpose of this Facebook page is to share news and information about the Honey Bee Haven and pollinator gardening in general. Groups of 10 or more who wish to visit on their own should make a reservation to ensure there are no conflicts. Please email hbhinfo@ucdavis.edu to request a time slot.

  • So many bees! And many well labeled bushes and grasses, many native and all well kept. I did not get stung once.
  • Great place to get ideas to make your garden more bee friendly. Pretty cool seeing how they placed bee boxes within the garden.
