Excellent video, museum, and reconstruction of the village. An incredible opportunity to view life here before European contact. Must see if you have any interest in history and archeology! more »

This is a very nice place to learn about some of the local Native American culture that lived here 800 years ago. There is a very nice Visitor Center with a good informative video and gift shop. The grounds where the original village are is nice. Unfortunately, the museum is not getting as much funding as is needed so some of the reconstructed buildings need repair. However, the village is still very worth visiting. I think wheelchair access to the village would be hard because the paths are not designed for them. Sun watch is definitely worth visiting.

My daughter and I found the museum very interesting. It isn't very big. We saw and read pretty much everything in about two hours. The informational signs outside are very faded and some are covered in moss making them impossible to read. The information in the inside portion of the museum is very well done. Make sure you watch the 10 minute movie to give you a background on everything else.
