  • We knew ahead of time that an afternoon hike wasn't the best time to go but we did anyway. Be sure to pack plenty of water we nearly ran out. We got to a point near the end where it began going up to....  more »

  • Golden Canyone is an easy hike and close to furnase creek visitor center. You can reach the entry point on paved road, park and start walking in. We did part of the trail - about 1.5 miles with kids. Everybody enjoyed the colorful rock formations which looked liked stacked at at an angle and pointing to sky. It's an amazing trail and mesmerizes you with nature's enormity.
  • The hike is easy and the rocks formation is amazing. Some rocky hills literally looks like the crust of the earth pushed up by immense geology force. Bring your camera
