  • Awesome location. High clearance 4wd only. Two abandoned adv motorcycles at toughest rocky section and many broken body panels littering ground as evidence of past accidents. Best for lighter dual...

  • We climbed up this pass on ADV Big Bikes; my '04 V-Strom 1000 (pictured) and 2x '13 BMW F800GSs. It's doable, but be prepared to help your buddies pick up their bikes, and the broken pieces too! It's off camber most of the way up, and between the rocky parts there's nice soft stuff to get stuck in when you lose your balance. Have lots of water and patience ready, and wear a hat when it isn't your turn so you don't get sunburned! Also, if you're coming in from the North (Geologist's Cabin), it takes approx 3.5 hours to get to this point. BTW, when we got to the top we encountered no less than 12 4x4s of various types, waiting to go down. We were very stoked to get to the top!!
  • Did it with my moto bros on big ADV bikes. Yes its possible. But be prepared to fall and break stuff. We camped out in the desert that night. The burros are all over the place. Freaks you out!
