  • We walk here a lot with our dog and it’s got a great paved sidewalk all the way around the park and pond area. It’s about a 2 mile commitment so once you get started, you’ll have to finish to get...  more »
  • Plenty of space for walking and sports. Dogs should be on chains on walking trail, but overall a good place for nice day out.  more »

  • I love this park! It has been remodeled and looks amazing. We bring our dogs to play every Sunday. But today is Labor day so we decided to come today instead. Very peaceful and clean. Making Decatur Great!
  • If you are interested in walking or running, this park is perfect. Been coming for years. Haven’t had any issues out of anyone or anything. The park is beautiful during evening and afternoon hours, the sun is in a position where the light hits the water and just adds to the comfort of exercising. The park does have geese that sometimes roam the track, they are not mean whatsoever. Walk up to them and they will run away. The park workers are nice. The people who go there for regular activities are nice. The running track is OK. There are a few small parts where water builds up and causes you to run in the grass, but overall, a nice peaceful track for running or walking and even biking. Sometimes turtles come out on the track, which is nice to admire nature and not be stuck inside a gym. The track is a mile and a half, and does have markers. I will say the track COULD be a little bit wider, it does make it difficult sometimes to run past people when there’s a lot of activity out there, but overall, it’s okay. Only thing I dislike fully is the traffic. People speed and race around the park. It almost causes a concern that someone could lose control of a vehicle and hit someone. Although this has nothing to do with the park itself, but of this factor, I wish it were safer in that aspect.
