  • lots of trails for walking in woods or praire run also mostly for horses and trial riding big enough to get lost  more »
  • If solitude is what you seek, here is a great place for a walking meditation. Do watch your step as there's ample evidence of the horse traffic  more »
  • Horseback Riding at Sand Creek is wonderful. The trails are always mowed; there are creek crossings and some hills, lots of woods - 7.5 miles. The only wish I have is that there could be more trails. SOOOOO NICE! The park rangers are very courteous. They always turn off the mower/tractor/4-wheeler and back of the trail. Hikers are also allowed, so beware if you're horse isn't used to that. ;)
  • This is a great place for a nice walk in the woods with a great friend! It's an equestrian conservation area and people take their horses through the trails. It's sure nice to walk through there when nobody has horses.
