Montana Auto Museum, Deer Lodge

This place was AWESOME! I wish we had more time to explore it more. Would love to come back. TBH, didn't even get to see the antique car museum. The entrance fee allows you to go in all five of the museums on the block and we started in the old prison. I'm the manager of a 19th century jail/Sheriff's Office & residence, so it was very cool to see this old territorial prison. Much MUCH bigger than our old county jail, with many more areas to see. If I lived anywhere near here - I would definitely become a member!

As a car lover, I go to this museum each time I'm on vacation. They have many, many cars, ranging from the very first car clear up to 1970s and 1980s cars. It is connected to the prison museum which makes it easier to visit both. They have great displays of many old cars including Ford Model A's and Chevy Bel Airs. There are a lot of cars from the 1900s and 1910s that are not known very well. I recommend this car museum to anyone interested in old cars or wanting to learn more about cars. I will definitely come back to the Montana Auto Museum again.
