Built in 1886 by Henry Addison DeLand, it changed hands numerous times until it was donated to the city of DeLand in 1988.It opened as a Victorian era historic house museum in 1990. Great place to step back in history when Deland was a small town. Guide led tour throughout the entire house which is 2 stories. Well worth the $5.00 entry fee.

If you don't mind paying a fee to see some antiques, this is the place for you. They also have a free library in the parking lot.

I enjoyed my visit to to the historical home named after the first owner. It has a rich interesting history and some unique features to the home. I highly recommend a visit especially if you enjoy history or architecture and design.
