1914-2010

For many years, George could be seen working around the farm and greeting

customers in the farm market. His great laugh and smile always welcomed those

who visited the farm. He will be surely missed.

George W. Marshall, 96 of Belvidere, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 1, 2010

Born in Easton, PA on February 8, 1914, he was the son of the late George A.

and Cora Alliger Marshall.

George had served in the Navy during WWII with the rank of Lietenant. He was

a graduate of Birmingham Southern University. He was a history teacher for the Newton NJ Public Schools.

George along with his family had operated Marshall's Farm Market.

He was a member of the American Legion Post # 130, Belvidere, NJ and

previously served on the Belvidere Town Council.

He was preceased by his wife, the former Marion Fisher and his former caregiver, Myrtle Lord.

  • You must try the apple cider donuts. Highly recommended. Friendly staff, great selection and the donuts. Don't forget the donuts!
  • Cute farm stand, lots of apple choices with a description on get variety so it helped with my decision. There is homemade sausage, pies and they had mince meat by the pound available the day I went. He carries a variety of jams and condiments. Even homemade peanut butter that you can sample. Pleasure customer service
