Experience the varied ecosystems of Colorado at Denver Botanic Gardens, an oasis in the center of the Mile High City and one of the first botanical gardens in the United States to focus on native plants. The 9.7 hectare (23 acre) park is home to seven different gardens and boasts the largest collection of plants in North America from cold temperature areas across the globe. With visiting exhibits, a sunken amphitheater for concerts, and two additional satellite locations, at Chatfield and Mount Goliath, there is always a new reason to visit these historical gardens. • This is by far one of the most enjoyable botanical gardens I've ever visited. The flowers are beautiful and the displays very well done. A must-do while in Denver.  more »
  • Unfortunately it was November, already almost everything withered, but here we are in any case come back in the summer! A great place for a relaxing walk or simply enjoy the nature!

  • We were shopping across from the mall and decided to rent some bikes and ride to the Botanical Gardens. Was a fun way to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful gardens. There were several areas to park our bikes near the entrance. The gardens are well maintained. It was nice to walk around at our own pace and enjoy all the beauty. I would love to come back again during a different season.
  • The Denver Botanical Gardens are definitely a unique and worthwhile way to spend a few hours in the Denver area. There are sprawling gardens filled with every variety of plant life, all of them themed and carefully arranged. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful Japanese garden and water gardens, as well as the beautiful rose gardens in the corner of the space. Despite how busy the gardens were when we visited, we did not feel crowded and were able to see everything we planned to. I would recommend this attraction to anyone in the Denver area with an appreciation of plants and the diversity of life thereof.
  • This is such a great place for almost all ages to visit. Parents with younger kids definitely bring a stroller. The gardens are exquisite and the volunteers are all friendly and knowledgeable. It is only $12.50 for adult admission. I had a sandwich and peach lemonade with oregano for lunch at Hive Garden Bistro and it was delicious! They don't serve a tiny bag of chips with the sandwich but a huge mound of kettle-cooked chips. I have been here in May and August and the gardens were amazing both times. I can't wait to visit this winter!
  • Visited as the Flora Cadaver was closing. It was the perfect day outside and the walk through the gardens was intoxicating. Each space was unique and beautiful and it was worth the $12.50 for two adults. I wouldn't take toddlers to the main gardens because I saw lots of Mama's struggling with the strollers through the tighter paths, but we saw a children's garden across the street. I would love to come back in each different season.
  • We visited the botanic gardens on a free day, and it was awesome! We arrived about 30 minutes before opening, got great parking, and it definitely felt less crowded being among the first through the gates. (On regular priced days I'm guessing there are less issues with parking/big crowds) The gardens are beautiful! I wasn't sure how they would hold the attention of my toddler, but he loved it... especially finding all of the waterfalls. My only recommendation is avoid bringing a double stroller if you can! Some of the paths are narrow, some doors are hard to fit through, and if it's crowded it can be a lot to manage (just a personal suggestion ;)) Great visit!
