The museum is at the historic Denver Fire Department. We arrived at 10:00 am.on a Saturday when the museum opened. Metered parking on the street is $2 for 2 hours. We took 5 children ages 4 to 8. There were many hands on displays for the children with small sized fire gear to wear and a fire truck to climb in. The building has two floors of displays easy to see in 2 hours. The children had fun and we enjoyed the displays and reading about the history. This was a fun Saturday morning activity.

Such a great little piece of history. I brought my best friend who’s visiting from out of state that is a firefighter. He absolutely loved it. We both really enjoyed this little gem downtown. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly. They also have a little section where you can purchase shirts, patches, pens, etc.
