Authentic German style beers brewed on an antique copper brewhouse.

History of the brewery

The Brewery was made by the Ziemann GmbH in 1963. It was installed at the Bucher Bräu in the German city of Grafenau and used there until 1984. In 1984 it was overhauled and sold to Brauerei Hümmer of Breitengüßbach, Germany, a village in the Franconian region of Bavaria.

Brauerei Hümmer started brewing beer in the Franconian village of Breitengüßbach in 1642. The brewery served the town for over 350 years until the spring of 2011. It made several styles including Altfränkisches Dunkel Bier, a rare specialty beer that we will revive in Denver.

  • Good crowd, great beer. Stopped by around 3pm on a Friday and there was a decent crowd. Pilser is really good, Kolsch was good too. Wish I could have had a few more!

  • **Do NOT come here for your 21st bday if you have a vertical ID - they won’t serve you (even if ID is still valid)!** Use to be one of my favorite breweries. Beers are good but service has gone downhill. Parking is horrific - they have a small lot in front of the facility that parks 3-4 cars. Otherwise you have to park in the neighborhood.
  • OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My girlfriend and I went on a Sunday afternoon, and the staff was absolutely amazing. They took into consideration each patrons requests. They were willing to let you move to open tables, that provided a better view, or more shade. In my past experiences with other restaurants or breweries, they are not willing to sanitize another table so you can get more comfortable. We truly enjoyed our time there. Oh yeah!! The beer was outstanding too!
