Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint is a state park in Lincoln County in northwestern Oregon, United States. Administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, the 59acre park lies along a bluff between Whale Cove and Rocky Creek. The park extends south along the Otter Crest Loop Road to the Rocky Creek Bridge.
Between 1926 and 1954, the state bought land for the park from private owners and received other land for the park from the Federal government. The Civilian Conservation Corps undertook the original development of the site between 1934 and 1936.
Open year-round for day use, the park has picnic tables, parking spaces, and restrooms. Attractions include watching whales, waves, and ocean birds along a rocky coast, and hiking through a forest of shore pines.

  • Being Oct it wasn’t crowded & allowed us to get the Danes out for a walk. The waves crashing & views was very nice. We enjoyed the whole experience & highly recommend it as a rest/view stop  more »

  • The waves were out in full force! I was pretty astonished by the size and ferocity of the waves crashing up against the giant rocks, at the same time at total peace offered by the pure beauty of the Oregon Coast. Besides the waves, if you are fortunate enough, it is not uncommon to witness gray whales. I didn't witness any this trip but nonetheless was an enjoyable outing. The place is easy to find, easy to access and has plenty of convenient parking. I'd highly recommend this place for a quick and easy outing
  • An amazing place to sit and have a picnic! The scenery is beautiful! If you keep walking the trail you'll get to a fence which is private property.
