A nice place to take a walk and find some peace and quiet. Been coming here for over 30 years . I wouldn’t go out of my way to go but if your nearby , or camping it’s a good stop. more »

It says alcoholic beverages prohibited, but the campers next to our site drank all weekend. They started at 10am and were loud until 2am. Rarely saw a ranger. Road coming into park is horrible. SC needs to upgrade their facilities, NC State parks much better.

Let's do the good first. Upon arrival to the Ranger station the young man was awesome. This Ranger knew his park. We had booked our campsite on line without knowing the layout of the sites. Well he told us the site would be tough for a pop up to get into and switched us to a better site. BOOM just like that! The best thing was he was eager to do it! Yes I know in this day and age sometimes you can't expect much but we were pleasently surprised. Our campsite was great. Shady and very quiet. People all around us and still quiet. Ok now the bad parts. If you are coming here to fish it ain't happening. Well you can fish, you just ain't catching anything. The lake is mostly Marsh. The road in is rough. Like 10 to 15 mph rough. It's not the rangers fault I know this. It's our legislators fault. Gonna write a letter about this one. "Hey y'all how about some funding for the road to the park. " I know they are getting some tax money. By the way everything was clean and nice as it should be. Love Little Pee Dee. Bottom line this place is out of the way, out of the hustle and bustle and quiet. If that's your thing you will be well pleased.
