Each of our pots are individually made and hand decorated with either a traditional or country design, and then fired in a gas kiln to 2,300°F. The size and shape of our pieces reflect the individuality of each potter ... just as the interpretation of a design reflects the individuality of each decorator.Add Salmon Falls Stoneware and other attractions to your Dover trip itinerary using our Dover itinerary builder.
The salt-glaze finish results from the vaporiz-ation of rock salt in the kiln during the final stage of firing. The charm of the ware is that each pot has its own individual character. Variations in color and design are desirable and sought after by collectors. In any one firing the color of pottery may vary from grey to brown with a smooth or orange peel glaze.
Salmon Falls Stoneware is lead free and safe to put in the microwave and and the dishwasher. It is great for baking and other everyday uses. Enjoy ... then pass it along to the next generation.
We hope that if you are in the area, you'll stop by and and see our pottery up close!

I have several pieces of Salmon Falls Pottery. Some were purchased in antique shops but most have been purchased at the factory in Dover. I love perusing the shelves, looking at all the patterns... more »

Don't miss this. New England stormwater made right next to the showroom. I have many pieces collected over the years and they will be family heirlooms. A real New England product. more »

Its so nice to be able to consistently go to a place like this and not only be impressed but also excited. For years my mother and i have gone in, picked out one or two items, and then come back months or a couple years later to add to the collection. They have some classic patterns as well as new ones that pop up. You could buy plates, bowls, mugs, butter dishes, bird baths, bake ware, mini trinkets, and the like. There is a marked down room with slight imperfections where you could fund the perfect piece for less money. And you can see into the warehouse noticing all they have currently drying somewhere in the firing process. A unique and lovely local business i plan to come to for the rest of my life.
