  • You're amiss if you don't stop in Duck Town and explore their boardwalk and shops. Plenty of scenery along the boardwalk and lots of shops to visit while there. Glad we stopped.  more »
  • What a pretty boardwalk behind shops right on the water. One of only 2 places on the Outer Banks with real boardwalks to enjoy the water, the view and the sunset which is amazing.  more »
  • This is my favorite walk several times the week of my stay. It's so peaceful. All kinds of nooks and crannies to escape in and see different types of wild life. The cypress trees are always a beautiful delight to spectate. Turtles, otters, snakes, crabs, and small fish we can identify thrive in the lush landscapes. Memorable sunsets bring our entire group down in the evenings for a cozy sky show.
  • Meticulously maintained with lights after dark. There's a kayak launch and a crabbing area. The boardwalk is busiest at sunset, I don't recommend jogging through at that time. Bikes are allowed on the boardwalk but must be walked. A sunset on the boardwalk is the best. There's plenty of room for everyone. The boardwalk also connects all of the great sound-side businesses.
