  • The Lake Superior Zoo was a spur of the moment decision not realizing Duluth had a zoo & it was a great experience, staff was friendly and welcoming. It's a beautiful zoo, well structured. They have quite a few different animals & they have a lot of indoor spaces as well. The nocturnal section was one of my favorites unfortunately the pictures don't turn out very well in there but it's a great walk through & their prairie dog exhibit was awesome to see so many cute prairie dogs! If you're looking for something to do I would highly recommend it.
  • Nice zoo. Visited on a Friday morning in June. It was not very busy. Got to watch the tiger eat his meal up close. Most of the animals were active and fun to watch. Lots of different animals: tiger, bears, wolves, otters, snow leopard, lynx, lemurs, exotic birds, bats, prairie dogs, local animals and many more. They have a fun education center, a nice petting/feeding zoo and a great nocturnal animal building. The trees were blooming and it was a beautiful day. Overall worth the visit. Free parking and stroller rental available.
