  • It’s a bit difficult to reach here but once you do, you’ll have absolute peace. It’s a serene waterfall, worth the trek of 30mins next to the rail track. Ensure to park your car before you enter to shashta retreat to start walking alongside the train trail. The falls itself is easy to miss as it’s on the right side or the side where the river flows, just before the old bridge.
  • Try to avoid use google map to navigate this place, otherwise you will be end up with an entrance of a private property. Don’t ask me how do I know it. The most short way is to follow the hedge creek falls trail to the Sacramento River, cross it , turn right and follow the railway for a few minutes.it is just before a bridge. A guy told me the water is unbelievable cold. Of course I don’t believe it, till I touch the water. If you don’t want to be wet, you can go further south. There is a bridge, you just need walk longer and get more chance of meeting a train and it’s noise. But as long as you see the falls, everything pays back!!!
