The Beckley Furnace Industrial Monument is a state-owned historic site preserving a 19th-century iron-making blast furnace on the north bank of the Blackberry River in the town of North Canaan, Connecticut. It's a delightful place to stop and take in some of the interesting local history. Picnic tables are available. Cross the bridge, and you can hike the light-blue-blazed trail up into the hills. more »
