Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park is a park on the east side of the Mississippi River in East St. Louis, Illinois, directly across from the Gateway Arch and the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Its major feature is the Gateway Geyser, a fountain that lifts water up to 630 feet (192 m). The Gateway Geyser is a counterpart to the equally tall Gateway Arch, and is visible from the west side of the river to the right of the prominent Cargill grain elevator. Four smaller fountains around the Geyser represent the four rivers which converge near the two cities: The Mississippi, Missouri, Illinois, and Meramec. The park also includes an elevated viewing point overlooking the river.Plan my day in East Saint Louis using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

Malcolm W Martin park is not only home to the Gateway Geyser, but also the Mississippi River Overlook, which stands 40 ft. tall on the west end of the park. Its tiered structure boasts stainless steel railings which are lit at night. Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park is no doubt the best place to photograph the Gateway Arch and St. Louis Skyline! Many St. Louis postcards are captured by photographers from the overlook! It offers visitors marvelous views of the park and unprecedented views of the Gateway Arch, the Mississippi River, and the St. Louis city skyline. The park also provides passive open green space, ideal for play or picnics!
Great view of the Arch and the city. Plenty of parking. There is a neat webcam set up and you can visit the website provided to view footage for 24hours. Go wild! This is a pretty place to watch the sunset and the walkway has good lighting. Restrooms available. Plenty of picnic space and grassy areas for the kids.
