Raye’s Mustard, one of Down East Maine’s oldest small family businesses, is pleased to have a listing on Facebook. We invite you to visit our website to learn more about a Maine tradition that dates back to 1900, and that we are proud to carry on as the 4th generation of the Raye family to own and operate Raye’s Mustard Mill.

Our historic Eastport mill is a working museum, and the Nation’s only remaining traditional stone ground mustard mill. The authentic cold-grind process we use to make mustard preserves the taste qualities of the natural seeds and spices and results in a uniquely flavorful product.

That is why Raye’s Mustards have won over 40 prestigious national and international awards in the past decade. We are especially proud that Raye’s Down East Schooner Mustard (our signature flavor) has repeatedly won the Gold medal in the Classic American Yellow category at the World-Wide Mustard Competition held annually in Napa Valley.

  • Would be 5 stars if the prices were a little lower. I understand the process is more labor intensive than machine ground but not sure if the difference is really worth it.  more »
  • We stopped in for a tour and were wowed at the simple but perfect stone ground process . We went on to the shop and tried all of the samples and left with a variety to enjoy at home. Thank you Rayes!  more »

  • Craft mustard...would expect to find this place in Brooklyn. Nah, it’s in Eastport, ME, and all the better for it.
  • Family owned by friendly dedicated people, using time tested technology to make delicious mustards, offering tours of the actual production unlike Hershey, reasonable prices, free tasting of all spreads, close to the waterfront shops, made this a delightful stop. Definitely recommended highly. The summer harvest spread is the best, but chipotle honey mustard is fab too.
