Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts, Eatonville

This was my first opportunity to visit Zora Neale Hurston Festival and what a treat it was for me! There were numerous vendors that offered a variety of Art, TaylorMade one of a kind dresses, Greek paraphernalia, fresh made body butters infused with essential oils, unique purses, and much much more! The entrance fee was reasonable and so was the parking. Pricing on products sold was also reasonable. It was a relaxing day in a friendly setting. Great live music was also provided which created a festive atmosphere. Great outing for family or couples, even an event that can be enjoyed if you're by yourself.

It's a beautiful piece of history at a museum that is about a young lady that was known as an author and a poet whose origins started in Eatonville and it took her all the way to the Harlem Renaissance during the time of Langston Hughes and all those other great artist , poets and authors of that era. She has a rich history in this area and around the world and every year they have a festival in honor of her in her neighborhood.
