  • Delicious wines, Beautiful vineyard and amazing host! We stopped at this winery on our way to Virginia Tech. I am so glad that we did because it turned out to be a great experience. The vineyard was still frosted because of the cold whether but the seating outside was perfect as you get lot of sunlight. We opted for tasting which was 8$ per person. The host was very interesting lady. She told us the background of the winery and how she met the owner. The story will spark instant loyalty towards the vineyard. Regarding tasting, most of vines were interesting however the rebel red was the one that stands out. Its red wine yet it doesn't have that okay acidic character. It was a perfect picnic wine and we ended up buying two bottle of that and had our little picnic in the balcony. I would definitely recommend checking this place out and get a bottle of Rebel Red!
  • We were in town for a weekend getaway and decided to give this winery a try after hearing about Michael Shaps purchasing the place. I’m so excited to see the next chapter for this winery. The tastings are all Shaps’ wine... which are excellent and affordable, considering the quality. It was sleepy the day we visited, but the grounds are beautiful and the tasting room/indoor area is lovely and comfortable. Outside food and kiddos welcome. Definitely hit up this winery and keep it on your watch list as Shaps is in leadership.
