Meadowdale Beach Park is a treasure for our local community and the wider region. It is a beautifully forested valley with a 1 and 1/4 mile trail each way that many people enjoy. Lund's Gulch which originates outside of the park and is an active salmon spawing stream meanders and sometimes races through the length of the park to Puget Sound. The hillsides to the north and south ascend steeply and are covered with Alders and Evergreens and other native plants. The return trail is a very gradual climb and approximately 1/4 mile before returning to the parking lot it becomes steeper. People of all ages use this trail.Plan trip to Edmonds with our itinerary maker to find out where to go and what to do.
Lund's Gulch Creek is home to the threatened Steelhead Salmon as well as Chum, Coho and Cut-Throat Trout and reaches Puget Sound after traveling through a culvert that also doubles as a passage for people to reach the beach. There is a beautiful meadow just before the culvert which is used by many for picnics, volleyball, horseshoe, school outings and other celebrations. The beach has spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains, Whidbey Island, and the Kitsap Penninsula.
Many come to exercise, relax, picnic, beach walk, bird watch, even whale watch ( a rare treat), kayak and enjoy the view.
We would like to assist the Park Ranger if he has special projects that require volunteers. When we are advised of interesting events in the park or hear of educational programs that may be of interest then we can pass that information on to you.
If there are local meetings regarding preserving and protecting the park, then we will inform you of them on this page.
This facebook page is not connected with Snohomish County Parks and Recreation Department. We are an independent group of interested and committed citizens -hoping to help this Park and Lund's Gulch Creek stay vibrant and healthy so that we may continue to use and enjoy it.

Great hike down to the beach! My calves are still sore two days later - I was trying out our new carrier for the kiddo (excuses) . Got to watch a few trains go by. Little one collected some new rocks for his collection. Great old growth nature for viewing. Will try to do this one again!

Great place for an evening hike down to the water for sunset views. They close the parking lot gate 20 min after sunset. If you can’t hike back up within 20 min I highly recommend you park (legally) outside of the gated parking lot area or your vehicle will be locked inside of the parking lot. It’s never happened to me but they have a lot of signs stating this will happen at various points on your hike. This is also a good place when it snows to go sledding due to the big hills. The hike is easy going down but coming back up it’s a climb for some as it’s straight back up with stairs at one point. Beautiful trail with ample amount of space for passing others. My family of 4 really enjoys this trail.
