2500 miles northeast of Napa Valley you'll find a whole other wine country - peaceful, unspoiled, and delightfully uncrowded. Stone's Throw Winery is located in the heart of Door County, Wisconsin where we make hand-crafted, traditional, one barrel at-a-time premium California grape wines.Use our Egg Harbor attractions planner to arrange your visit to Stone's Throw Winery and other attractions in Egg Harbor.
It's what we do here at Stone's Throw Winery - combining our access to small lots of Premium Grapes from California's finest growing regions: Napa, Sonoma and Monterey Counties with our commitment to traditional wine making practices: small tank fermentation, judicious use of oak barrels, attention to detail, plus the belief that with great grapes and minimal handling, fine wine is created!
Come visit, taste, and shop our marketplace. Walk our grounds, and seasonally help yourself to a picnic table or a bocce ball court. In addition, we invite you to visit our website at www.stonesthrowwinery.com for more information on our winery, events, tours, and best of all - our complete list of wines.
We are located in a 100 year old stone barn at the intersection of A & E at Peninsula Center, between Egg Harbor and Baileys Harbor. Watch for the vineyard.
We are in the exact center of the peninsula!
Open daily, all year round 10am - 5pm.
(With the exception of New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day).

I can't believe I'm doing this - because it will increase the foot traffic - but I highly recommend Stone's Throw Winery when you are visiting Door County. The grapes predominately come from Napa...

Definitely a must do stop. I’m a bourbon guy at heart, but their Malbec is great! Server was soooo nice and represents the best of Door County.

What a fun experience! We decided to stop on a whim with our group of six friends. 2 of us experienced a wonderful tasting of wines in the tasting room while the other 4 headed to Vino, Vino next door for tapas and wine. We later joined them to find them having a great time chatting with Russell (the owner). He was hilarious and we loved listening to his stories. 😂 The food was phenomenal - (the roast duck... out of this world!🤤) Our server, Amara (sp?), was perfectly attentive, and she did a fantastic job with our crazy group! We honestly couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the afternoon! Thanks for a great time Stone's Throw!

Hands down the best wine tasting I've ever experienced in Wisconsin. I know many come to Door County area for the fruit wines.. though I appreciate a nice dry red.. and wow they knocked it out of the park. The wines are complex and well thought out. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. 100% will be returning!
