Home to exotic animals from around the world, El Paso Zoo provides a place to learn about wild creatures. The zoo is split into three major sections: animals of the Americas, animals of Asia, and animals of Africa. Take the opportunity to visit the critically endangered species housed here, like the Amur leopard, Mexican wolves, and the Aruba rattlesnake. Kids will enjoy a ride on the African Star Train through the African exhibit to see animals like giraffes, zebras, and ostriches. To learn more, attend one of the zoo's animal training sessions or meet with zoo staff at one of the educational programs offered in several exhibits. Make El Paso Zoo a centerpiece of your El Paso vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our El Paso road trip tool.

  • Carousel is very fun. Got to see cute cats when we went. Nice little park for kids, and ropes coarse as well. Overall, 10/10 Took lots of pictures. Met an adorable kitten in the cat adoption center, who slept on my lap. Amazing.
  • Such a great zoo! Visiting from Tampa, FL and had to stop in with my son. It was great to see so many animals that we don't get to see at our zoo back home. It was a really hot day so I think some of the animals were kept inside and I wish some of the others would have had something to cool them down because the heat seemed to be affecting some of them as well. Loved their cat adoption facility and though this was a great idea that many other zoos should do as well!
