The International Museum of Art is a museum in El Paso, Texas housed in a historic residence designed by Henry C. Trost. The home was the W.W. Turney residence built for state legislator, lawyer, and rancher William Ward Turney in 1908. The International Museum of Art shares history with the El Paso Museum of Art, which occupied the Turney building until 1998. After it moved into its new building, the International Museum of Art reopened in 1999.

  • I did enjoy the visit. Big place, clean, well organized and with friendly staff.
  • This is my most favorite museum in El Paso. Located in a historic home on Montana Ave they have free movie night on Saturdays and an awesome collection of French, Chinese and Mexican art as well as contemporary pieces from local artists. If you can get the tour from one of the curators they give you the best details about the house and the time period that it was built and lived in, like the fact the family would throw revolution parties during the Mexican Revolution and they would host company on their balcony to watch the fighting across the border. Super Cool!
