Callaghan Vineyards, Elgin

Very good wines in a very nice setting….both indoors and outside (covered). We brought our own glasses and so tastings were only $12 (vs $15) for five tastes. If you bring your own glass they serve you the 5 tastes in little plastic cups. Kinda funky. VictorB

A couple of locales mentioned to try the wines of Callaghan, they felt their juice was top shelf! I drove thru sonoita last week and plucked a bottle of Lisa’s white wine, a variety I’d never heard of. Petit Manseng. I fixed dinner for my dads widow a couple nights later. It rocked with chicken Marsala! Juicy, rich, melon fruits. She likes reds, so I got to drink much more than just 1/2. Spent years in the food and beverage industry! When south next winter, a must visit. Good on you for carving new ground!
