Moonlight State Beach reviews
Good beach with parking around the area. Parking is not free. There is a lifeguard shack and a snack shack. The beach is level from the parking lot, no stairs or hills.

Been here many times over the years and it never disappoints. A mellow and laid back beach with a fair amount of parking. Always a treat coming to Moonlight State Beach.

First time here. The parking lot isn't to big and the beach can be a bit packed, but the sand is nice. The beach has a walkway to make it easier to get your items down. Lifeguards on duty until about 6p. No dogs or open fire like grills allowed outside the cement stations. The sand has a ton of rocks but overall feels nice. The sand near the water does not sink as deep little more sturdy. A playground is on location. At night there was a ton of people dancing cooking with music. Volleyball nets up. Public restrooms. Snack bar.
The amenities are still pretty new including a huge lifeguard/first aid station, food court, showers, restrooms, playground, BBQs, picnic tables, lots of parking that turns over pretty well on a Thursday at lunchtime. The beach is awesome, fine sand with a fiber pathway for wheelchairs and strollers leading to the packed wet sand that should support wheels for the those heading North or South. The beach has a very gentle slope. I was about 40 yards out and could stand with my head above water in the troughs - definitely nice for swimming beyond the break. This is a very popular spot with some summer day camps in session, but the coast is long and deep so it didn't feel very crowded (especially beyond the break).
