Gaspar's Dive N Board, Englewood

My 16 year old daughter and I just completed the NAUI dive certification course through Gaspar’s Dive N Board, and it was well beyond any expectations, nothing less than phenomenal! Never having SCUBA’ed before made no difference, the instructors were all helpful, friendly, and ever so patient. As I expected, they emphasized proper technique and safety throughout. What I did not expect was the perfectly maintained gear and how well organized everything was, the transition of skills from the classroom to the pool and finally to open water was seamless. What knocked this out of the park for us was something we did not expect, the open water locations that we completed our training in were amazing, no flat sand bottoms here. Four different practice locations in the gulf all with structure or sunken wreckage and all teaming with life! Looking forward to our next dive with Gaspar’s!!!

There is no better place on this coast to buy dive gear and learn to dive. My wife and I were open water certified by Joe ( assistant manager/ trainer) and it has become an addiction since then. The class was extremely informative and enjoyable and no other dive shops in the area will take you offshore for your certification dives which was a huge selling point for us. Who wants to dive in a Florida lake? When it came time to purchase our dive gear Stephanie ( the owner/ manager) was knowledgeable and ensured we were happy with the fit of everything we bought. Not only were we extremely happy with our purchases, the prices were very reasonable. Before discovering this store we had purchased some things from another local dive shop that we were not happy with. I cannot stress enough how satisfied we have been with all our purchases from this establishment. The owners eat, sleep, and breath diving, and make every effort to ensure people will enjoy the sport as much as they do.
