What a fabulous place to walk. The trails are well maintained. Plenty of seating in shady spots. Maps along the trail and trail markers make it hard to get lost. I walked the trail around 3 and it was a great mix of sun and shade. The park boarders the bay and there was a lovely breeze. If you want to kayak there is a launch area not far from the parking lot. The restrooms were clean. The entire park is beautifully maintained. Bonus, plenty of parking. And it’s all FREE!

This is the best place in Sarasota County (maybe all of Florida) to take a walk. The facilities and walking paths are great. Lots of great scenery, wooden bridges, the water, wildlife, etc. And it’s a huge area.
