  • Some great scenery to be found here. We stumbled upon this spot when driving by. We've put it on our list of places to return to in order to explore it from a canoe.

  • The trails are the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge are among the finest maintained hiking trails I've ever encountered. No stumbling over rocks or branches, yet totally wild and wonderful.
  • Hiked the short 1.75 mile loop trail that was absolutely beautifully laid out. It was obvious hard work had gone into building the wide wheelchair accessible trail. We ran into some young trail crew working hard in buggy, humid, rainy conditions and were were friendly!!!! We also saw a very large moose on our way back to our car. A nice stop to enjoy the beauty of the great north woods. So happy to see it preserved. Thankyou for your hard work and friendly trail crew!!
