My husband and I discovered this wonderful place when looking to enjoy a couples massage for Valentines Day. We were treated to an unexpected gift for booking the appointment near that holiday. The previous spa we went to had just eliminated their couples massage room. We didn't realize what a gem we found. I have been to various spas in south east Connecticut and this one is by far the best with overall spa experience from the moment you walk in the door from the atmosphere to the service providers and the services. The staff is very friendly, personable and professional. The Spa of Essex is very accommodating if you tell them when you want to start your first treatment and when you need to leave by. After that you have no worries. I know they are very busy, but they manage to arrange the schedule so you don't run into other clients at all or often. In addition to the great service and amenities, one of our favorite features is the Relaxation Room where you go following your treatment or in between services. We loved the super comfy oversized chairs that the two of us can fit on together and enjoy the post massage glow I highly recommend a visit if not more to the Spa of Essex. You won't be disappointed..

I visited the Spa of Essex for my first ever spa treatment last year for my birthday and it was surely a treat!!! Upon entering the front door I was very comfortable and the receptionist at the front desk was very friendly. We then had lunch in the kitchen nook and had a glass of wine while we waited for our treatments to begin. I had a facial which was phenomenal!!! After the facial (which they will tailor to your skin type) we spent some time in the relaxation room just (you guessed it) relaxing. It was such a great experience I am coming back again this year for my birthday and I am bringing more friends. Everyone deserves a SPA DAY!!!!!!!!!
